Melba E. Turner

Melba E. Turner, 90, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024.

She was born May 14, 1933 in the Republic of Panama, the daughter of Woodie and Maya Baldwin.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School in the class of 1954.

Melba married Ora C. Turner Jr. and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Dewey Baldwin.

Melba is survived by her children, Michael (wife Dixie) Turner, Timothy (wife Brenda) Turner and Brian (wife Denise) Turner; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Riley, Christi, Trisha, Kelly, Austin, Steven and Hope; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral on Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Melba to the Humane Society of Putnam County.
