James Dale Haltom

James Dale Haltom, age 88, of Cloverdale, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Dale was born in Cloverdale on Feb. 24, 1936 to the late James and Dorothy (Carrington) Haltom.

Dale married Karen (Prince) Haltom in 1996 and she survives.

He was retired from Allison and was the owner of Jim’s Place in Cloverdale.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Michelle Meade (Haltom) Jameson and her husband Jeff; brother Larry (Ruth Anne) Haltom; grandchildren Brittany Haltom, Chase Meade, Waylon Higgins and Travis Rambo; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great- nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Haltom; son Jerry Haltom; daughter Pam Bauer; grandchildren David Bradley Elmore McKamey and Cody Meade; sister Betty June Haltom; brother Dora “Sonny” Haltom; nephew Brian Haltom; and sister-in-law Dixie Haltom.

Funeral services for Dale will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 21 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service time.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at the Cloverdale American Legion.
