Thomas Earl Drawbaugh, born on May 13, 1934 in Oak Park, Ill, passed away on March 12, 2024 in Fillmore.

He graduated from Broad Ripple High School and furthered his education at North Dakota State.

Thomas married his high school sweetheart, Helen Suzanne Heffelman, in 1958.

Thomas proudly served in the Army and had a diverse career that included working with NASA, IndyCars at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and as a welding engineer with Parker Hannifin in Lebanon.

Thomas had a passion for living in the forest, often spending time on his property enjoying his beloved trees. He was a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a knack for mechanics, earning a reputation for being able to fix anything he laid his hands on.

Thomas cherished moments with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Patrick Thomas Drawbaugh (wife Diane), and daughter Melinda Sue Emmanoelides (husband Demetrios); along with grandchildren Eric (wife Brittany), Dylan (wife Gina) and Maria; and great-grandchildren Finn, Grace and Griffin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Suzanne Drawbaugh, and his parents, Earl and Ethel (Pye) Drawbaugh.

A private memorial will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate the life of Thomas Earl Drawbaugh.
