Crowds will soon be gathering at Robe-Ann Park for Parkfest, such as the fans on the lawn for Mike Van Rensselaer's performance to open the 2023 season. The Greencastle Civic League is currently looking for artists and sponsors for the summer concert series.

The 31st season of Parkfest, the annual concert series presented by the Greencastle Civic League, is set for every Tuesday in June and July at the bandshell at Robe-Ann Park.

The shows begin on Tuesday, June 4 with local favorites Mike Van Rensselaer and Tad Robinson on the bill.

One notable change for Parkfest in 2024 is that it will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each week, 30 minutes longer than in the past. The first and last dates of the series will be family nights.

Anna Harmless, who is chairing the Parkfest committee this year, said she has already booked bands for half of the 18 slots for the nine-week run of Parkfest. The remaining acts will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested bands or musicians should email Harmless as soon as possible at annaharmless@gmail.com.

The Civic League relies on the generosity of individual and business owners to pay the artists for their time and talent.

Sponsorships are available at various levels, including one season sponsorship for $2,500, one sound sponsorship for $1,350, four platinum premier sponsorships at $1,000 each, gold supporter for $750, silver partner for $400, bronze member for $150 or “solo artist” for less than $150.

Sponsorships levels will also be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on benefits of each level or to become a sponsor, contact Alex Chamberlin at alex.chams@gmail.com.
