‘Moonlight Sonata’ exhibit to open ahead of eclipse

A new exhibit at 10-Fold Projects gallery in downtown Greencastle will feature the work of six local artists, including a woodcut of the McKim Observatory by printmaker Matt Rees. The show is scheduled to run through April 30 with an opening reception on Saturday, April 6 from 5-7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

The 10-Fold Projects Gallery, in collaboration with the Greencastle Arts Council, announces the opening of “Moonlight Sonata: A Celestial Art Exhibition.”

Set against the backdrop of a rare total solar eclipse, the first in central Indiana in more than a 150 years, this exhibit, featuring the work of local artists Matt Rees, Esther Hale, Lavinia Hale, Stu Fabe, Barbara Fields Timm and Lynne Tweedie, explores the mystery of the cosmos and poetry of the heavens.

The group show will be on display at 10-Fold Projects, located at 10 W. Washington St. (next to the Visitors Bureau in downtown Greencastle), through the end of April. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 6 from 5-7 p.m.

Regular gallery hours are Friday and Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 1-3 p.m. or by appointment The gallery also will be open the day of the total solar eclipse on April 8, from 8 a.m-8 p.m.
