My name is Andy T. Beck, and I am running for Putnam County commissioner for District 1 on the Republican ballot in the May 7 primary election.

I was born and raised in Putnam County and have lived here my entire life. I am a graduate of North Putnam High School. My wife, Betsy, and I have been married for more than 34 years, and we live on a grain/livestock farm east of Bainbridge. We raise registered Hereford cattle along with my parents, Gene and Alice Beck.

I also work part-time for Keystone Cooperative (formerly Co-Alliance) in Bainbridge, and my wife works for a public utility company. We are blessed to have one child, Cody, who lives in Oklahoma with his wife, Taylor, and their one-year-old daughter, Reagan. Cody and Taylor work in the cattle and banking industry in Oklahoma.

I served on the North Putnam School Board in 2007-10, where I was school board president in 2010. I also served on the Putnam County 4-H Fair Board, the board of the North Putnam Alumni Association and North Putnam FFA committees. I am a member of various cattle associations and served in different capacities on those boards at the state and national level.

I am running for County Commissioner because I want to give back to the community by serving in a public role and help make decisions that will benefit the people of Putnam County. I will do my best to represent you in overseeing the budgetary and policy-making functions of the county. I will make sure you are listened to and heard.

I would appreciate your vote for Andy T. Beck for Putnam County Commissioner on the Republican ballot in the May 7 primary. Thank you.
