Michael Lee White, 77, of Quincy, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

He was born Oct. 7, 1946 in Indianapolis to Shirley Dewayne and Gertrude (Church) White.

Michael graduated from Cloverdale High School and then went on to get his associate degree in nursing from Indiana State University.

He worked for many years as a paramedic for Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis. He also worked as a volunteer paramedic for the Cloverdale Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a member of the Quincy Baptist Church and a Mason for many years. He was an avid stamp collector and loved to read and spend time with his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael is survived by his wife of 55 years, Loretta “Lucy” White; his daughter, Kelly Cassida (Max); siblings Linda Hester (Johnny) and Steve White; grandchildren Kevin Cassida, Keith Cassida (Stormy) and Kraig Cassida (Beka Capps); great-grandchildren Vincent Cassida and Lucas Cassida; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on April 12 at 1 p.m. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mannan Cemetery with military honors. The family will be receiving friends and loved ones from 11 a.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks a donation be made in Michael’s name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
