Beck wins GOP commissioner nod; Williams, Campbell, Brown capture council nominations

It was a runaway win for Andy Beck in the Putnam County Commissioner District 1 race in the Republican primary, while Kerry Williams, Stephanie Campbell and Amanda Brown captured the three nominations in a much tighter race for Putnam County Council at large.

Beck essentially lapped teh field with 2,227 votes in the GOP commissioner race, well ahead of Brad Buck Buchanan in second with 681 votes. David Fuhrman was third with 496 votes, followed by Don Hatfield with 468.

In County Council at-large, Williams led the way with 2,327 votes, followed by Campbell, the lone incumbent, with 1,937 and Brown with 1,874.

Not making the cut for the November ballot were Chad Colvin with, 1,696, followed by Daryn Clifford with 1,617.
