Brazil Concert Band seeking musicians for 2024 season

BRAZIL — As a new season gets under way, the Brazil Concert Band is seeking area muscians to join its ranks.

The band will hold rehearsals starting Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. at the Forest Park bandshell, or at the pavillion in case of rain.

The band’s 13 Sunday-evening concerts will commence on June 2 and conclude on Aug. 25. Except the last one, the concerts begin at 8 p.m.

Retired Greencastle teacher Matthew Huber is in his 43rd year as the band’s conductor.

New members must be at least a high school freshman and own their own instrument. Those interested may email Huber at mmjjhuber@gmail.com or just come to the first rehearsal.
