Eagle freshmen fall to North Putnam Monday

The South Putnam Eagles' freshmen boys' basketball team fell to rival North Putnam at home Monday, 33-27.

Trent Vickrey led SPHS with seven points, followed by Derek Dean with six.

Trey Vickrey and Tyler Whitford each added four points in the loss, and Dylan Hayes had three.

Tyler Rominger had two points for the Eagles.

Individual statistics for the Cougars were not available at press time.

South Putnam will take the court again Wednesday at Greencastle starting at 6 p.m. while the Cougars will head to North Montgomery Tuesday, Dec. 12, for a 6 p.m. start.

At South Putnam

Greencastle freshmen take down Clovers

Greencastle High School's freshmen boys' basketball team defeated Cloverdale on the road Monday, 35-24.

The Tiger Cubs' leading scorer was Jordan Hickam with 12. Ethan Wood chipped in 10 points in the victory.

Individual statistics for the Clovers were not available at press time.

GHS will be back on the court Wednesday at South Putnam, starting at 6 p.m. while the Clovers will visit North Central Thursday for a 6 p.m. start.
