Vera Jane Osborne

Vera Jane Osborne, affectionately known as "Mamaw," 89, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at Indian River Medical Center.

Born July 29, 1920 in Greencastle, she lived in Inverness, Fla. for two years and Vero Beach, Fla. for the past six years.

She was the daughter of Ott and Bessie Greenlee Sears. She was a member of the Women of the Moose.

Survivors include one daughter, Deanna J. Atwell and husband David E. of Vero Beach; one son, Gary A. Osborne and wife Diane of Crystal River, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brent Atwell and wife Kristine, Scott Atwell and wife Shelly, Ty Osborne and wife Jacque, and Wade Osborne and wife Julie.

She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and a brother, Jack Sears and wife Norris.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Vernon Kenneth Osbone; three brothers, Gilbert, Eugene and Don Sears; and two sisters, Eva Eggars and Irene Sears.

Private family services will be held in Vero Beach and Greencastle.
