City Police
One driver sustained minor injury as a result of a two-vehicle accident on South Jackson Street Thursday night.
Greencastle City Police reported that a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Geneva Fox, 79, Greencastle, was northbound, crossing the railroad tracks north of Limedale, when her vehicle went left of center and collided with a southbound 2004 Ford truck driven by Brett Gutschlag, 47, Greencastle.
Fox sustained minor facial bleeding but refused medical treatment at the scene. She was later transported to the hospital by a relative, police said.
Officers Eric Vaughan and Nick Eastham listed total damage in the 9:03 p.m. accident at $5,000-$10,000.
Four traffic citations were issued recently by city officers.
Mark Taylor, 48, Loogootee, was ticketed by Officer Albert Epple at 6:45 a.m. Thursday for 45 mph in a 30-mph zone on Bloomington Street.
Terry Seiger Jr., 36, Cloverdale, was cited by Officer Eastham for 50 mph in a 30-mph zone on Bloomington Street.
Terry Wehr, 35, Greencastle, was cited on Locust Street by Officer Vaughan for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.
Melanie Martin, 40, Terre Haute, was cited on Veterans Memorial Highway at 1:15 a.m. Friday by Officer Vaughan for an expired driver's license. Her license had expired in August 2007, police said.
