Library board candidates sought by school board

Dear community members:

The Greencastle School Board is responsible for appointing two members to the seven-member Putnam County Public Library Board, which serves as the policy-making and governing body for our public library.

One of the school board's two appointees, Glen Gill, has informed us that he prefers not to be re-appointed to another four-year term to begin July 1, 2011. On behalf of the school board, I want to thank Mr. Gill for serving on the library board.

I invite community members with an interest on serving on the library board to send a letter of interest, a resume, and, if they wish, other materials of their choosing to the following address: GCSC Board, ATTN: Library board appointment, P.O. Box 585, Greencastle, IN 46135.

We ask that such expressions of interest arrive no later than Saturday, June 18, 2011.
