Local teen band to perform at music festival Friday in Plainfield
Wanted on Fire, a rock band composed of five Greencastle High School students, will perform as part of the End of the Line Music Festival on Friday in Plainfield.
The band, featuring members Dylan Bodnarick (bass), Alex Briones (lead vocals), Justin Hartman (lead guitar), Nathan Pearson (drums) and Derek Query (rhythm guitar), will perform as part of a seven-band lineup in the third-annual festival.
The show is set for 6 p.m.-1 a.m. at Serendipity at Metropolis Mall, 2499 Futura Pkwy., Suite 105.
Advance tickets are available through band members for $3, and are $5 at the door.
Other young bands in the lineup include Drop the Anchor, Decibel, the Noyokos, the Breaks, the Sound Guys and the Jake Henson Band.
Wanted on Fire formed in 2011 and has since won the 2012 Owen Valley Battle of the Bands, the 2012 Maroon 5 TopBlip Contest eastern division and X103's Band of the Week in December 2012.
Their sets include original songs in addition to covers of bands as diverse as Green Day, the Beatles, the Black Keys, Pearl Jam and the Who.
Wanted on Fire recently released its debut EP "Inhibitor," which will be reviewed in an upcoming edition of the Banner Graphic.
