NP freshmen earn win

The North Putnam freshmen boys' squad picked up a victory against North Montgomery 40-28 Tuesday.

The Cougars lead by only one at the half, 13-12 but a big second half made all the difference.

Payne Stewart led the Cougar charge with 12 points, while Travis Franklin added 10. Josh Hunt scored four points, with Tommy Welch and Jacob Lewis adding three each.

Garrett Porter, Cody Beck, Cody Summerlot and Jared Fordice all score two points each.

North Putnam will travel to Danville to face the Warriors at 6 p.m. Monday.
