Peebles supports cause with denim event

GREENCASTLE -- Help those in need and get a great deal on the latest denim looks for back-to-school between Aug. 18 through 23 at Peebles department store.

Simply bring in any gently worn denim item and receive a coupon for $5 off your purchase of any denim apparel in the store. All donations will help to clothe less fortunate individuals in the community.

To celebrate gearing up for the school year and helping others, a two-hour radio broadcast will be held at Putnam Plaza shopping center on Saturday with games and giveaways provided by the radio station.

The denim trade-in event is organized by Stage Stores Inc., the parent company of Peebles, and shopping center management company, Midland Greencastle, LLC. This event is part of their joint "Shop Local" effort designed to keep communities shopping in their hometown.

The denim collected at the store will be donated to organizations benefiting needy individuals and will be announced following the event.
