* Feb. 18, 5:14 p.m.: Kristina D. Epple, 34, Fillmore, was on CR 250E in a 2001 Volkwagen Passat when he went off the road slightly, then overcorrected, going into a skid and into a ditch, landing upside down in the road.

Towed by Jerry's. Damage $2,501-$5,000.

* Feb. 19, 4:27 a.m.: Christopher Stapert, 33, Greencastle, was westbound on U.S. 40 in a 2006 Ford when he fell asleep, leaving the road on the north side shoulder, hitting and taking out about 40 feet of guardrail. The vehicle landed on its side near a small creek and trees.

Stapert called for help and left the scene without calling dispatch. He said he didn't know he was supposed to call 911 after a property damage accident.

Towed by Steele's. Damage $25,001-$50,000.

* Feb. 19, 8:30 p.m.: An accident was reported on Parke County's CR 880W of a car hitting a deer. The driver, Ray C. Smith, 58, Indianapolis, continued on until an officer located him at the Country Market in Bainbridge, driving a 2004 Pontiac GTO, which could travel no further due to damage.

The driver said he didn't stop because he didn't think the damage was too bad. He was unable to get his sped over 30 mph and could not make turns because of the damage to the car. Smith was instructed in the future not to leave the scene of an accident and to contact officers in the county in which the accident occurred.

Damage $2,501-$5,000.
