Letter to the Editor

Fall Festival support is appreciated at Central

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

To the Editor:

The Central Elementary PTO hosted our annual Fall Festival Fundraiser on Oct. 1, and we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who came out to support our school and enjoy the many activities on this fun night.

With your assistance, and after expenses, we profited $4,217.90 through game and raffle ticket sales, food purchases, Pie in the Eye, and auction revenues.

The PTO will use this money to fund school convocations, the 100 Book Club, the purchase of science supplies, gas and drives for field trips, and other activities. Thank you again for helping us to enrich our children's school experience.

Special thanks to the many volunteers and benefactors who coordinated and ran our games, organized the grade-level auction basket projects, and donated candy and prizes for the evening's activities. Our Fall Festival would not have been such a success without all of your help.

We would also like to thank the businesses that supported the Festival with their donations.
