Survivor's Rupert to make campaign stop in Greencastle
Libertarian candidate for governor and reality TV star Rupert Boneham will make a campaign stop at Greencastle Eagles Lodge 4388 on Sunday, Oct. 7.
Making his way north from Spencer to Crawfordsville, Boneham is scheduled to arrive in Greencastle at approximately 2:30 p.m., remaining at the lodge until between 4 and 4:30 p.m.
The Eagles Lodge is located at 207 Elizabeth St.
Boneham is mostly known for his time on the show "Survivor." He was a contestant on the show three times, each resulting in a loss. He was, however, voted the show's most popular contestant during his second appearance, receiving 34 million of 38 million votes cast.
Besides his television fame, Boneham has spent more than 20 years working with young offenders in the court system. His Rupert's Kids program emphasizes personal responsibility, work ethic, education and respect.
Boneham has also partnered with the City of Indianapolis to create The Park Adoption Program and has found success with his production company Tournament Towers.
He was born on Jan. 27, 1964 in Detroit, but grew up in Kokomo. He has resided in Indianapolis for the last 21 years.
He and his wife Laura have one daughter, Raya.
