Friday Jam: Hunger Strike-Temple of the Dog
Not a whole lot to say this week, but Chris Cornell died one year ago today.
I could have chosen a Soundgarden song for this post. I could have chosen Audioslave. I could have gone Cornell solo.
But Temple of the Dog will always have a soft spot in my heart.
Eddie Vedder is the singer of my favorite band of all time (and also featured in this song), but Cornell is the best vocalist to come out of the Seattle scene of the early 1990s. What a voice, what a talent.
And he's gone too soon. I don't think many of us can account for what awful diseases depression and addiction are. If you have people in your life who are struggling, do whatever you can to help them.
Be good this weekend, people. Treat each other well.
