It sounded too good to be true. And it was. In the past three weeks, four Greencastle residents with items for sale on the Internet were scammed by con artists sending bogus orders to purchase. Ian Merritt Boswell, 24, Key Largo, Fla., formerly of Indianapolis and Greencastle, died Monday. He graduated from Coral Shores High School and attended Valencia Community College. He was a member of the Key Largo Baptist Church. At age 14, he worked for Key Divers in Key Largo as a mate until age 21. He then worked for Comcast for more than a year...

Bernice M. Powers, 87, Ladoga, died Friday at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. Born in Bainbridge, she was the daughter of Fred and Corda (Ader) Rogers. She married Lloyd J. Powers on April 12, 1938 in Greencastle. He died in 1991. She worked at the Weathervale Clothing Store in Crawfordsville and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church and was one of the congregation's "Prime Timers."...

Edward Raymer, 65, Quincy, died Wednesday at his sister's home in Morgantown. Born in Nashville, Tenn., he was the son of Ernest Mac and Fannie Mae (Gourley) Raymer. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School and attended Indiana University. He was a retired UAW Committeemen at Chrysler Corp. in Kokomo...
