GREENCASTLE -- Last Wednesday, the Danville Warriors brought their unbeaten record of 4-0 on the season to Greencastle to try and end the Tiger Cubs' own unblemished mark of 5-0. GMS suffered its first loss 63-18 on the night. The taller and more athletic Warriors dominated the Tiger Cubs from start to finish. She was born on March 3, 1921 in Boone County, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Hubert and Mary Josephine [Petry] Ferrell. She was married to Charles DeRaimo on Feb. 17, 1940 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1980. She was a homemaker...

This Tuesday afternoon the Washburn Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) handed out their 2010 Putnam County Good Citizen awards to four high school seniors.
