BROWNSBURG -- The shorthanded North Putnam Cougars girls' golf team finished its season at the Brownsburg sectional at West Chase Golf Club. Neither of the junior golfers, Jessie Cox and Olivia Zarate, placed at the tournament but coach Linda Patrick was impressed through the season...

BRAZIL -- On her second shot on the ninth hole at the IHSAA Girls' Golf Sectional at Forest Park, Harlee Fuetter rifled a ball from the fairway out of bounds. Fuetter started on the back nine, making it her final hole, and the mistake could have soured her whole round...

Lowell Allen Sechman, 83, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. Born to the late Ralph Sechman and Merle Marie Rogers-Sechman, Lowell is survived by his wife, Doris Day-Sechman; son Donald; daughters Janet Nauman, Barbara Nauman and Donna Walker, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter...

Lois Hall Ehle, 83, Mooresville, died peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 in IU West Hospital, Avon. Lois was born Jan. 24, 1930 in Alexandria. She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1948. The family relocated to Mooresville in the 1950s. Lois worked for the Bud & Bloom Florist for more than 20 years...

Freshman Grace Smith scored a go-ahead goal early in the second half and the Greencastle girls' soccer team held on to the lead to secure a 2-1 win against West Central Conference rival Monrovia on Monday.
