The Humane Society of Putnam County will host its first official adoption event since reopening set for Saturday, Sept. 19 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Rescued Treasures, 1021 Indianapolis Rd. (Suite C), Greencastle. The HSPC will be on site with cats and dogs as well as information about the no-cost spay/neuter program and the Greencastle microchipping event slated in October, among other HSPC initiatives...

With Child Passenger Safety Week already under way, the Greencastle Police Department will conduct its annual Car Seat Check Safety Day clinic on Thursday at Putnam County Hospital. Certified child passenger safety technicians will be on hand at PCH from 5-7 p.m. to check car seats for proper installation and advise parents and caregivers on how to choose the right car seats and install them properly in their vehicles...
