MONROVIA — The North Putnam Cougars traveled to Monrovia to take on the Bulldogs on Friday in the semifinals of Sectional 39 and a chance to face Mitchell in the championship. The 2015-16 season ended for the DePauw women’s team with a first-round NCAA tourney loss to Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The tourney appearance marked the 13th straight year the Tigers had won their conference title and appeared in the NCAA tourney. Jarrod Duff is in his first year as head coach at North Putnam, and takes over a team which went 3-20 last season.
