The Clover Athletic Directory James Wade hopes the Mustangs do not visit often as the budget to purchase basketball nets will rise dramatically as Edgewood hit 62 percent (28-of-45) from the field and an impressive 10-of-17 from behind the arc to defeat the Clovers 73-59. It wasn’t the Putnam County Tournament that most wanted but three of the four county schools were joined by five other wrestling teams for the Russ Hesler Invitational Saturday morning at McAnally Center. Monrovia defeated the Tiger Cubs in the final round of the day to win the team title with the hosts finishing as runner-up.
