Goodbye my old friend

Farewell Hawkins...Keep up the good fight.
The deathblow has been dealt. CBS has officially cancelled Jericho for the second time.

In a statement, CBS exec Nina Tassler acknowledged the "passionate viewers" and an "engaged and spirited fan base" but still decided to let the series go. They say it wasn't pulling in enough viewers for it to be viable for the network to keep the series going. But what about those fans who were tuning in? Too bad I guess.

I think it laughable that a show that isn't big enough to keep is big enough to feature on its official website. Also, that it is consistently one of the most popular videos on its main page. What does a little show have to do? They ax this show but keep shows like "Survivor", "Big Brother", "The Amazing Race" and "The Adventures of Old Christine." Do you see a pattern? Useless programming over quality stories, does this say something about us?

I watch many shows on CBS but I will probably be staying away from the network for a while as I hope all good Jericho Rangers will do the same. We won't stop the machine but we just might be able to slow it down a tad.

This will be tough for me due to the fact that my new television passion is Dexter. But since they are rebroadcasting the first season, I'll rent it and take CBS out of the equation.

I want to say thank you to the cast and crew of Jericho for a great season and a half. You proved that great stories have a place on television, just not on CBS.

(Johnny1010 -- Dexter is coming soon.)

I am so sorry for your loss but excited about the birth of Dexter....It might be better to rent it anyway since it is a Showtime baby and we would have the benefit of seeing it uncut, something to think about.

Dude I just read online that the CW network is in contact with CBS and buying the rights to the show. This is the same thing that JAG went through going from NBC to CBS.
