Lillie "Peachie" Florence Kirton, 62, of Brazil, died at Union Hospital in Terre Haute Saturday, March 14, 2009 following a short battle with cancer. She was born in Danville on Sept. 29, 1946 to Charles and Mable Mantooth Thomas. Mrs. Kirton worked as a dough master and dishwasher at Pizza Hut in Brazil for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 1127, Moose, Eagles and VFW Post 2. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with friends and family and yardsaling...

Marjorie M. Grimes, 83, of Greencastle died on Friday, March 13, 2009. She was born on May 20, 1925 in Putnam County to Herbert Blue and Emma Young Blue. Mrs. Grimes was a nurse's aid for several years at Asbury Towers, retiring in 1987. Surviving are a daughter, Darlene Russell and husband Bobby of Belle Union; a son, Rex Wood and wife Brenda of Greencastle; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren... |
