Nine winners help lift Tiger Cubs to victory (04/24/10)
GREENCASTLE -- The Greencastle girls' track team moved to 5-2 on the season after defeating North Putnam and Crawfordsville Thursday. GHS won the meet with 77 points, followed by North Putnam with 42 and Crawfordsville with 36. The Tiger Cubs were able to pick up nine wins on the night, with North Putnam winning three events. GHS head coach Garry Anderson noted the nice performances of his team, but wants to see a little extra something from his younger runners...

The Cloverdale Middle School boys' track team placed second in a triangular meet with Greencastle and Cascade Thursday. Cascade was first with 60, CMS was second with 44 and Greencastle was third with 37. Cody Stout earned first in the shot put and discus and third in the long jump, while Wade Warren was first in the high jump, second in the 200 and third in the 100. Garrett Bracking was first in the 110 hurdles, second in the 200 hurdles and fourth in the 400...
GHS softball crushes Rockville, 7-4 (04/24/10)
The Greencastle softball team gained its second win of the season by defeating Rockville 7-4 Thursday. Riley Seahorn was 4-for-4 at the plate for GHS, while Erin Beck was 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Jessie Bennett was 2-for-4 with a run scored and one RBI, with Kaytlynn Beaman was 2-for-4 with a run scored...
Eagles defeat North Putnam on the track (04/24/10)
The South Putnam Junior High boys' track team fought North Putnam Thursday, earning a 103-16 win. Poor earns college letter at Millikin (04/24/10)
DECATUR, Ill. -- Millikin University recently announced its swimming letter winners for the 2009-10 season. Greencastle graduate Lainey Poor, a freshman at Millikin, earned her first letter for her performance in the pool.
