Jones is Supreme Showman

Tommy Hendricks, right, presents Brock Jones with the Grand Champion Showman trophy Thursday night during the Putnam County 4-H Fair. The family of Tom Hendricks Sr. was the 2009 4-H Supreme Showman donor. Tom Sr. showed a love for sheep and exhibiting at fairs nearly 70 years ago. It was his passion until his death in 1974. For several years, Tom was secretary and later president of the Putnam County Fair Board. He was a great supporter of the 4-H program and the work ethic it developed in kids like Jones. Brock, the son of Steve and Brenda Jones of Roachdale, has been participating in 4-H for nine years. The 18-year-old North Putnam senior has future plans of attending Ball State University for communications and sports broadcasting. His 4-H activity is sheep. Brock's extra-curricular activities include basketball, football, baseball, SADD and FCA.
