Friday Jam: Here are some songs about time
If you've been on the site at all today, you'll know I've taken a whole bunch of pictures of the new clocks being installed at the Putnam County Courthouse. If not? I'm not offended, but check it out now or the story tomorrow in print.
As such, I haven't had much time (Ha!) to worry about a blog today. So, since I've been thinking all day about clocks and time, here are some songs about time.
It starts out with the best song off of one of the best albums ever. I mean, seriously, did a rock album ever do so much with so few actual songs? I know that "Dark Side of the Moon" lists nine tracks, but by my count there are five songs — Breathe, Time, Money, Us and Them and Brain Damage/Eclipse (that's just one song, ask any classic rock DJ).
Anyway, "Time" is the high point of "Dark Side." Let's start there.
That was fun, right?
OK, here now, in no particular order, are some other songs about time. Some great. Some less so. Pick and choose what you'd like.
Enjoy your time this weekend, people.
