Women invited to take part in Rally for a Cure

Windy Hill Country Club is hosting a golf scramble for women with the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research. The Rally for a Cure scramble will be played Sunday, July 17 with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost to play is $55 per person and includes 18 holes with a cart and dinner afterward. The dinner menu will be chicken salad on a croissant, chips, fruit and a brownie sundae for dessert...

Perry, Robinson, Stanley, Stephenson final four to seek 2011 fair queen title

Ten young women from across Putnam County will compete for the title of Miss Putnam County on Saturday, July 16 during the Putnam County 4-H Fair Queen Contest. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the community building at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Admission is $3 per person. Cierra Perry, Megan Brooke Robinson, Cara Faye Stanley and Paxton Danielle Stephenson are the final four contestants for the crown.
