Every Time a Bell Rings... (12/07/11)
An adapted version of the film classic will come to the stage when Greencastle Christian Church presents "It's a Wonderful Life, the Musical" at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10 in the church worship center. Community members, church members and Putnam County Playhouse veterans have teamed up to bring the classic Christmas tale to life. Among the players are, from left, Dustin Bond as George Bailey, Meghan Armitage as Mary Bailey, Brad Sandy as Uncle Billy, Jim Poor as Mr. Potter, Ric McFadden as Clarence, Shane Johnson as Harry Bailey and Sarah Bond as Ruth Bailey.

Greencastle's boys' and girls' swim teams took a step up in competition Tuesday evening as they hosted Bloomington North. The girls' squad fell by a score of 131-49, while the boys' lost to the No. 14 ranked Cougars 130-50. Greencastle picked up three wins on the evening with Cheyenne Fauvergue winning the girls' diving with a score of 136.35 and Elijah Brattain winning the 100-yard fly with a time of 1:00.64...
