Courthouse roof repairs to wait (09/03/08)
Putnam County Commissioners Gene Beck, Kristina Warren and Jim Baird tabled approving bids for work on the courthouse roof until their next meeting on Sept. 15. "I want at least four or five days to digest this stuff before okaying it," said Baird. The bids are for repairs to the courthouse roof and other damaged areas. Fire damages Greencastle day spa (09/03/08)
Just days before it was scheduled to go up for sherriff's sale, Greencastle's Victorian Day Spa caught fire Tuesday night, causing an estimated $40,000 to $60,000.
