With CFH Contractors of Knightstown moving to the east side of the building to continue their efforts, that necessitated shifting the drive-through line away from the building for safety reasons. Fortunately, the eye-popping temperature reading at First Financial Bank (below) shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday did not cause any accidents at the busy intersection of Indianapolis Road and 10th Street. According to the National Weather Service, the official high temperature at the Indianapolis International Airport was 104 degrees, making this reading from a car thermometer (above) more accurate. The 104-degree day set the June record, topping the 102-degree mark from June 1988.
